Models at LaQuan Smith not only had an exaggerated bang, but also a dark, sultry lip accentuated by super chiseled cheeks. Some models had a smokey eye and others had a deep plum lip, depending on what they wore down the runway. Either way, it was EXCELLENCE.

Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta had so many wins in my book: full brows, satin skin, and a bright red-orange lipstick. To achieve the look, makeup artist Tom Pecheux blended MAC’s Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolors in Feels So Grand and Quite The Standout. Then to top it off (no pun intended), there’s a sweep of MAC’s Patent Paint Lip Lacquer in Red Enamel.

I’m a red girl through and through, so THIS IS MY ENERGY.

Anna Sui

Anna Sui served goth glam on the runway with the dazzle of makeup artist Pat McGrath. The makeup included a dramatic emerald smokey eye — the Pat McGrath Labs Permagel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in Extreme Black on the outer and inner corners of the eyes, and then Blitz Emerald from the Mothership II: Sublime Palette blended on top. For deep fuchsia lips, Mattetrance Lipstick in Full Blooded was tapped with a fingertip and then the shade Deep Void was added to the center. VOILÀ!

Chromat

Chromat’s look was inspired by athleticism, and the eyes were achieved using the Mac Pro Gold Metal pigment across the crease of the eye. Note: You DON’T want to make this perfect, just make it authentic. Other vibrant looks have the Chromaline in Primary Yellow set with Pigment in Primary Yellow in the middle of the eye to intensify. We love!

Beauty, but make it fashion with stripes. Absolutely gorgeous!

Christopher John Rogers

MAC makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez explained the makeup as “the modern Christopher John Rogers woman who steps into a chic and elegant party.” Models had Swarovski stones placed on top of the brows to embellish, and the clean, dewy skin was achieved using MAC’s Studio Face and Body Foundation all over the face.

Y’all know I love a good lip — the models rocked Quite the Standout and topped it with Can’t Afford This from the Art Library: It’s Designer palette, as well as the MAC Pro Lip Palette Necessary Nudes for a bespoke nude-to-finish.

At the Asia Fashion Collection, models had a pop of color on the lid and a dash of color on the lip on an otherwise bare face. I loved how wearable this makeup is, especially for the girl on the go.

Rag & Bone

At the Rag & Bone show (which felt like an ultimate psychedelic trip), makeup was filled with horizontal and vertical lines and shapes on the face. It created a very dystopian effect if I do say so myself.

At Libertine, deep red lips and heavy-smoked eyeliner were the beauty moods of the night.

The Blonds

The Blonds always gives us a show! MAC artists sloped the brows upwards and combed them through for a straightened effect. They then used the MAC lip pencil in Chestnut to create a floating crease just above the eyelid, and then used gold glitter in the middle of the eyelid and in-between the top and bottom wing for added sparkle. Not sure how I’m going to recreate this look…but I’m going to recreate this look. FIERCE!

Tadashi Shoji

I feel like Tadashi Shoji made a strong case for graphic blue eye makeup to come back. Bring the ’70s back full circle! The lid was filled in, but then the outer corners were splattered and sort of brushed up and out like a painting. This is definitely going to be my makeup look for the spring.

Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung is not only one of my favorite designers because of his signature aesthetic, but the makeup is just ALWAYS on point. I can’t wait for this particular color to hit the market at MAC — it’s their Mint Condition eyeshadow, and as y’all can see, it is PIGMENTED, BABY. Lead makeup artist Diane Kendal then used the Brushstroke 24-Hour Liner in Brushblack to create a very strong sharp winged eyeliner. Flawless.

Nicole Miller

If you’ve ever wanted to wear an inverse smokey eye, here’s your chance. At Nicole Miller, models not only had an outer smoke with a gold lid, but the inner corner was also filled in with a similar charcoal shade. With rosy-pink lips to finish, this is a makeup look that’s totally unexpected, but that I can totally be down for.

Rodarte

The makeup at Rodarte was sexy, sultry, and vamp. Creamy, dewy skin was mixed with a dark, deep lip. Lead makeup artist James Kaliardos used Nars products — specifically the Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil — on the lips. It’s like vampire, but make it sexy.
