Crazy things happen in March. Just ask Iowa high schools North Scott and Waterloo West.

North Scott barely edged out the Wahawks 41-40 on Tuesday night to advance to the state tournament thanks to an absolutely wild, last-second 3-pointer from Northern Iowa signee Ty Anderson

So, here’s what happened …

Waterloo West guard Daquavian Walker sunk a go-ahead 2-pointer to put the Wahawks up 40-38 with 0.6 seconds left. Then, on the ensuing play, Trent Allard launched a full-court pass to Anderson, who caught it, turned and launched a deep 3-point attempt right as the clock struck 0.0 … and it fell through.
