Waukee junior wing Tucker DeVries reacts to his team beating Valley to advance to the boys’ basketball state tournament.

Crazy things happen in March. Just ask Iowa high schools North Scott and Waterloo West.

North Scott barely edged out the Wahawks 41-40 on Tuesday night to advance to the state tournament thanks to an absolutely wild, last-second 3-pointer from Northern Iowa signee Ty Anderson

So, here’s what happened …

Waterloo West guard Daquavian Walker sunk a go-ahead 2-pointer to put the Wahawks up 40-38 with 0.6 seconds left. Then, on the ensuing play, Trent Allard launched a full-court pass to Anderson, who caught it, turned and launched a deep 3-point attempt right as the clock struck 0.0 … and it fell through.

Here’s video of the once-in-a-lifetime shot:

TY ANDERSON ARE YOU KIDDING ME. North Scott is going to state.
